Where to stay for Hyrox Toronto: the out-of-towner's guide

Flying or driving in for GoodLife HYROX Toronto? Hotels near Enercare Centre, how to get to the venue, and what to do the day before you race.

Racing GoodLife HYROX Toronto, October 1 to 4, 2026, and don't live here? Good news: Enercare Centre sits at Exhibition Place, right on the waterfront, and the neighbourhoods around it are some of the easiest in the city to stay, eat, and get around in. Here's the logistics side of race weekend. For the race itself, start with the full Hyrox Toronto 2026 guide.

Where should I stay for Hyrox Toronto?

The closest hotel is Hotel X Toronto, and it's not close in the loose hotel-marketing sense. It's on the Exhibition Place grounds themselves, a short walk from Enercare Centre's doors. If you want to roll out of bed and into your warm-up, that's the one.

Next ring out: Liberty Village and King West, the neighbourhoods just north and east of the grounds. Hotel options thin out in Liberty Village itself, but King West has them, including 1 Hotel Toronto and the Ace Hotel Toronto nearby. From there you're looking at a short streetcar ride or a walkable couple of kilometres to the venue, with the best food density in this part of the city outside your door.

Third option: the downtown core near Union Station. The Fairmont Royal York, Delta Hotels Toronto, and InterContinental Toronto Centre all sit within a few minutes of Union, and Union is your transit hub for the whole weekend. The GO train runs from Union to Exhibition station in one stop, and the 509 streetcar runs from Union along the waterfront straight to Exhibition Place. Downtown means a slightly longer trip to the venue, but the most flexibility for everything else.

No hotel picks based on rates here. Prices move, and October event weekends book up, so sort your room early.

How do I get to Enercare Centre?

Transit, almost every time. Exhibition GO station is about a 10 minute walk from Enercare Centre, and two streetcar lines, the 509 Harbourfront and the 511 Bathurst, stop at the grounds.

Flying into Pearson? The UP Express train runs from the airport to Union Station in about 25 minutes. From Union, either hop the GO train one stop to Exhibition or take the 509 streetcar to the grounds. No car needed for the whole trip.

If you do drive, Exhibition Place has paid on-site lots, but event days fill them fast and race morning is not when you want to be circling for a spot.

Where should I eat near the venue?

Liberty Village and King West, both an easy walk or short streetcar hop from Exhibition Place, carry the restaurant density. Liberty Village is casual: cafés, brunch spots, quick pre-race carbs. King West runs the full range from casual to date-night, which covers your post-race dinner too. We're not naming restaurants because restaurants close; both neighbourhoods have enough options that you won't go hungry either way.

What should I do the day before?

Two things: shakeout run, bib pickup. For the run, the Martin Goodman Trail runs along the waterfront directly beside Exhibition Place. It's flat, paved, and scenic, which is exactly what you want 24 hours out. An easy 20 to 30 minutes with a few strides and you're done.

Bib pickup follows the organizer's schedule, so check your race communications for your window. While you're in logistics mode, it's worth knowing who else is making the trip: the AthleteField field page shows who's racing Hyrox Toronto, so you can land in the city already knowing a few names in your division.

What about spectators?

Bring them. The course loops indoors through the hall at Enercare Centre, so spectators stand close to the action for the whole race, not just a finish line. Spectator tickets are sold by the organizer, so check their site for details. Everything above applies to your crew too: same transit, same neighbourhoods, same trail if they want to jog off the nerves they caught from you.
