Safety

AthleteField connects athletes. What you do from there — training together, pairing up for doubles, meeting for a race — is between you. Here’s the guidance we stand behind, and how the tools work.

Meeting up

  • Meet somewhere public — a gym, a race venue, a coffee shop.
  • Tell someone your plan: who, where, when.
  • Get there and back on your own.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, leave. You owe nobody an explanation.

Blocking

Blocking hides you from each other everywhere — profiles, the field, matches, messages. The other athlete isn’t told. You’ll find it behind the small “⋯” control wherever another athlete is shown.

Reporting

Report someone from their profile or your conversation — pick a reason, add detail if you want. Reports come straight to us, a human reads every one, and we act on what we find: warning, removal, or a ban. We keep a record of every report. The reported athlete isn’t told who reported them.

Something urgent, or a situation these tools don’t cover? Email hello@athletefield.co. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services first.

What we don’t do

We don’t run background checks or identity checks on athletes. The results-verified badge means one thing: an athlete’s name matched a public race result. It says nothing beyond that. Bring the same judgment you’d bring to meeting anyone from the internet.
