Hyrox Oslo: dates, venue, and what to expect

HYROX returns to Oslo September 25 to 27, 2026, and the first thing to know is that the race isn't in Oslo. The venue is NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrom, a separate town northeast of the city, sitting neatly between Oslo and the airport. That's good news, not bad: the train sorts everything out.

When is Hyrox Oslo 2026?

September 25 to 27, Friday through Sunday, the second Oslo edition. Your race day is assigned with your start wave, so an entry can land on any of the three days. Your exact start time comes from the organizer closer to the race.

Where is the race?

NOVA Spektrum, Messeveien 8, Lillestrom. It's about a 10 minute walk from Lillestrom station, and Lillestrom is one of the best-connected stations in the country: roughly 11 minutes by train from Oslo S, about 12 from Oslo Airport (OSL). Stay in central Oslo and train out, or stay in Lillestrom and walk. Race morning by car is the only version of this trip that gets complicated.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, an Oslo result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.

Training in Oslo?

Oslo has one of the clearer Hyrox training scenes in the Nordics, including an official training club in the centre and a box that runs full race simulations. The Oslo gym map has the list, with a link to what each gym publishes about its own training.
