Where to train for Hyrox in Oslo: the gym map

Oslo gyms with published Hyrox programming: an official training club in the centre, a box running full race simulations, and SATS's Performance Hyrox class.

Hyrox returns to Oslo September 25 to 27, 2026, and the city's training scene is ready for it. This is a map, not a ranking: every entry below comes from what each gym publishes about its own training, with a link to the page we took it from. If we've missed yours, email hello@athletefield.co. Which Oslo gyms run dedicated Hyrox programming?

Aera Training (Tollbugata 4, central Oslo). Their site lists the gym as an official Hyrox partner, with sessions designed around all eight stations plus an intro course for first-timers, and a low-cost trial session to test the water. The most Hyrox-committed operation we found in the city.

CrossFit Gamlebyen (Borggata 7, Gamlebyen). Hyrox sits in their program alongside CrossFit, and they publish full race simulations: eight 1 km runs plus the eight stations, the whole race rehearsed before you do it for real. If you want to know your pacing before race day, a sim is how you learn it.

SATS (selected centres). The chain publishes a Performance Hyrox group class combining running with the eight race disciplines in its Performance Zone areas. Which Oslo centres run it varies, so check the schedule at yours.

Do you need a Hyrox gym at all?

No. The race is eight 1 km runs and eight stations, so what you need is running volume plus regular access to sleds, ergs, a sandbag and a wall-ball target. A Hyrox class mostly buys you three things: pacing practice at race intensity, time on race-standard equipment, and a crew who'll be on the same start line. The station training guide covers what to do with whatever gym you have.

Racing Oslo?

The Hyrox Oslo page has the race facts and the waitlist. AthleteField matches athletes on real race data, same-gym athletes first, so when the Oslo field opens, your gym's crew finds each other before race day. How a good target time is set and what a good Hyrox time is are the two most-asked questions we answer.
