Hyrox is in Washington D.C. September 3 to 7, 2026, and the city has one of the deeper training scenes on the east coast. This is a map, not a ranking: every entry below comes from what each gym publishes about its own training, with a link to the page we took it from. If we've missed yours, email hello@athletefield.co. Which D.C. gyms run dedicated Hyrox programming?
Urban Athletic Club (804 N St NW, blocks from the convention center). Hyrox classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday drilling the race movements: sled push and pull, SkiErg, farmers carries and running, with strength sessions on the alternate days. Class sizes of 4 to 14, and you can walk from the class to the race venue.
Elevate Interval Fitness (14th St NW). Publishes Hyrox specialty training with an intro offer, runs a Hyrox run club, and hosts Hyrox simulations listed on the race's own registration site. The broadest Hyrox menu in the city: classes, running, and a full dress rehearsal.
Fit360DC (Mt. Pleasant St NW, Mount Pleasant). Hyrox training in the regular class schedule, sled work, running and weighted movements, included in class memberships. The neighborhood option north of the centre.
Do you need a Hyrox gym at all?
No. The race is eight 1 km runs and eight stations, so what you need is running volume plus regular access to sleds, ergs, a sandbag and a wall-ball target. A Hyrox class mostly buys you three things: pacing practice at race intensity, time on race-standard equipment, and a crew who'll be on the same start line. The station training guide covers what to do with whatever gym you have.
Racing D.C.?
The Hyrox Washington D.C. page has the race facts and the waitlist. AthleteField matches athletes on real race data, same-gym athletes first, so when the D.C. field opens, your gym's crew finds each other before race day. How a good target time is set and what a good Hyrox time is are the two most-asked questions we answer.
