Hyrox Shanghai: dates, venue, and what to expect

ZhongAn HYROX Shanghai runs October 31 to November 1, 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, on the old Expo grounds in Pudong. A weekend race, two metro lines at the door, and the whole thing inside Hall 3.

When is Hyrox Shanghai 2026?

October 31 to November 1, Saturday and Sunday. Your race day is assigned with your start wave, and your exact start time comes from the organizer closer to the race.

Where is the race?

Hall 3, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, 1099 Guozhan Road, Pudong. The metro does the work: Yaohua station on lines 7 and 8, or Shibo Avenue on line 13, both close to the halls. Flying in, Pudong International (PVG) is on the same side of the river as the venue.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, a Shanghai result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.

Training in Shanghai?

Shanghai has Hyrox training clubs, but most publish their schedules on WeChat rather than the open web, so the official finder is the reliable starting point. The station training guide covers what to do with whatever gym you have.
