Hyrox Rio de Janeiro: dates, venue, and what to expect

HYROX Rio de Janeiro runs November 21 to 22, 2026 at Riocentro, back for its second edition. The venue sits in Barra Olímpica, across from the Parque dos Atletas and next to the Olympic Park, with a BRT station at the gate.

When is Hyrox Rio de Janeiro 2026?

November 21 to 22, Saturday and Sunday. Your race day is assigned with your start wave, so an entry can land on either day. Your exact start time comes from the organizer closer to the race.

Where is the race?

Riocentro, Av. Salvador Allende 6555, Barra Olímpica. The venue's own directions put the Estação Riocentro BRT stop directly in front of the main gate, with a second BRT station nearby. From the Zona Sul, the metro connects to the Transoeste and Transolímpica BRT lines, so the trip works without a car. Stay in Barra for the shortest race morning, or in the Zona Sul and ride out.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, a Rio result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.

Training in Rio de Janeiro?

One gym publishes its programming on its own site: Crown Clube Fla in Leblon, which describes itself as an official Hyrox affiliate, with a dedicated space for the eight stations, classes on weekday mornings and evenings, and a free first class. The other Rio gyms we found publish on Instagram or not at all, so the official finder is the reliable starting point for the rest.
