Hyrox Maastricht: dates, venue, and what to expect

HYROX Maastricht runs September 17 to 20, 2026 at MECC Maastricht, in a city with one of the denser Hyrox training scenes for its size anywhere on the calendar. The Dutch take this race seriously, and Maastricht's gym map proves it.

When is Hyrox Maastricht 2026?

September 17 to 20, Thursday through Sunday, with early check-in on Wednesday evening for athletes who want race morning to be nothing but racing. Your race day is assigned with your start wave, and your exact start time comes from the organizer closer to the race. HYROX Youngstars runs the same weekend for ages 8 to 15, on a shared spectator ticket.

Where is the race?

MECC Maastricht, Forum 100, in Randwyck on the city's southeast side. Maastricht Randwyck railway station is 250 metres from the venue, about a five-minute walk, with direct trains into Maastricht's main station and onward across the country. Flying in, Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST) is the local field; many travellers route through Amsterdam, Brussels or Eindhoven and take the train.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, a Maastricht result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.
