Hyrox Budapest: dates, venue, and what to expect

HYROX Budapest runs on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Hungexpo, and it's a first: Hungary has never hosted a HYROX race. One race day, which changes how the weekend works, so read the dates section before you book anything.

When is Hyrox Budapest 2026?

Saturday, October 17, and only that day. Most cities spread the field across a Friday-to-Sunday weekend; Budapest runs everything in one. Your start wave still sets your exact start time, which comes from the organizer closer to the race, but you already know the day.

Where is the race?

Hungexpo, Albertirsai út 10, on the Pest side east of the centre. From the M2 metro line, either ride to Örs vezér tere and take the bus 10 loop to the venue, or get off at Pillangó utca and walk about 15 minutes. Budapest Airport (BUD) is south-east of the city, so a hotel anywhere on M2 keeps race morning simple.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, a Budapest result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.

Training in Budapest?

Budapest already has a proper Hyrox training scene for a debut city: a partner gym in District XI, a certified training club in Csepel and a box in Óbuda with a dedicated Hyrox page. The Budapest gym map has the list, with a link to what each gym publishes about its own training.
