Hyrox Acapulco: dates, venue, and what to expect

Mundo Imperial HYROX Acapulco runs September 4 to 6, 2026 at Expo Mundo Imperial, back for its second edition. It's the beach-resort stop on the Mexican calendar: the venue sits on Boulevard Barra Vieja between the Tres Palos lagoon and the Pacific, southeast of the city proper.

When is Hyrox Acapulco 2026?

September 4 to 6, Friday through Sunday. Your race day is assigned with your start wave, and your exact start time comes from the organizer closer to the race.

Where is the race?

Expo Mundo Imperial, Boulevard Barra Vieja, in the Plan de los Amates zone. The practical detail that shapes the whole trip: Acapulco International (ACA) is in the same zone, about 16 km southeast of the city centre, so the airport is effectively next door to the venue. Stay near the venue side and everything is short; stay in the old town and you're commuting.

What's the format?

The same race in every city, which is the point of Hyrox. Eight 1 km runs, alternating with eight stations in a fixed order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Transitions through the roxzone count toward your time. Because the format never changes, an Acapulco result compares directly with one from any other city.

What divisions can you race?

Individual open and pro for men and women. Doubles in men's, women's and mixed, where the pair runs together and splits the station work, plus pro doubles. And relay, where a team of four splits the race.
