Head to head, explained
Pick any athlete on the field and race your radar against theirs, run pace and all eight stations, and see where the race between you would actually be decided.

The fastest verified time on the Toronto podium right now is a 1:00:50. The interesting question isn't whether that's fast. It's where the gap between that athlete and you actually lives.
Head to head answers it. Pick anyone on the field and both radars render on one chart: run pace and all eight stations, yours over theirs. The shape does the talking. The gap is usually not everywhere, it's two or three stations, and everything else is closer than you think.
How it works
→ Pick any athlete from the field, the podium, or their profile.
→ Both radars overlay, drawn from verified race results and measured against the field.
→ The splits table shows the difference per station, in seconds.
→ Share the matchup. Nothing starts a conversation at the gym like a chart.
The honest part
A head to head compares race results, not fitness today. If their result is from a Pro heat and yours is Open, the loads were different and the page says so rather than pretending the times are equivalent. Same-division comparisons are the clean ones.
Where do you actually stand? Pick your matchup.
Quick answers
- What is head to head on AthleteField?
- Pick any athlete on the Toronto field and see your radars overlaid, run pace and all eight stations, plus where each of you gives up time to the other. It works from verified race results, not self-reported guesses.
- Can I compare against someone faster than me?
- That's the point. The overlay shows where their time comes from, often two or three stations rather than the whole race, which turns "they're faster" into something you can train.
- Do I need a race result to use head to head?
- You need at least one result with splits so there's a radar to draw. Add or import a result and the comparison unlocks.
