Hyrox New York is announced with dates to come, and the city already trains for it in the open. This is a map, not a ranking: every entry below comes from what each gym publishes about its own training, with a link to the page we took it from. If we've missed yours, email hello@athletefield.co. Which New York gyms run dedicated Hyrox programming?
CrossFit NYC, Flatiron (Flatiron). Their site calls it the largest Hyrox training program in the city, with full race simulations, six dedicated sled lanes, Hyrox classes across Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and a free Fundamentals of Hyrox session on Sundays.
CrossFit NYC, Upper West Side (Upper West Side). The same program uptown: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday classes, with a drop-in rate if you want to try it once.
Prehab (109 West 38th Street, Garment District). Their site calls it an official HYROX Training Club in New York City, running a running-lab assessment plus one-on-one or small-group sessions built around the stations.
Tone House (32 East 31st Street, NoMad). Their site describes it as an official training gym for HYROX competitions, and the schedule carries Hyrox Training in all-levels and advanced versions.
Solace New York (38 East 32nd Street, NoMad). Hyrox classes built specifically for the event, on their own page, with the schedule a click away.
Brooklyn Strength Club (2100 Flatbush Avenue, Marine Park). Their site calls it an official Hyrox affiliate gym, with classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and a published doubles simulation race.
South Brooklyn Weightlifting Club (267 Douglass Street, Gowanus). Publishes full-course simulations that replicate the race, alongside its strength programming.
F45 Training NYC (Flatiron, Midtown East, Dumbo, Williamsburg). The chain's New York page runs 45-minute F45 x HYROX classes in a three-phase progression, plus a Sunday Hyrox open gym with all eight stations set up at Dumbo and Midtown East. F45 describes itself as HYROX's official global training partner.
SWEAT440 (selected studios: Chelsea, FiDi, Park Slope). Their site says the chain is an official HYROX affiliate; which studios run the classes and how often isn't on the page, so check the schedule at yours.
New York Sports Clubs (selected locations). Hyrox training classes included with membership at named clubs including Astoria, East 41st Street and East 91st Street, with a per-class option for non-members. No affiliate claim.
Do you need a Hyrox gym at all?
No. The race is eight 1 km runs and eight stations, so what you need is running volume plus regular access to sleds, ergs, a sandbag and a wall-ball target. A Hyrox class mostly buys you three things: pacing practice at race intensity, time on race-standard equipment, and a crew who'll be on the same start line. The station training guide covers what to do with whatever gym you have.
Racing New York?
The Hyrox New York page has the race facts as they land and the waitlist. AthleteField matches athletes on real race data, same-gym athletes first, so when the New York field opens, your gym's crew finds each other before race day. How a good target time is set and what a good Hyrox time is are the two most-asked questions we answer.
